IC 3274 (including NGC 4360B ) is a galaxy of Hubble type E? in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 299 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 4360 , it forms the galaxy pair Holm 393 . The galaxy is listed under catalog number VVC 715 as part of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster, but it is too far away for that.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4307 , NGC 4316 , IC 3211 , IC 3255 .
The object was discovered by Arnold Schwassmann on February 15, 1900 .
