NGC 4336 = IC 3254 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Haar der Berenice in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 45 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by William Herschel on April 27, 1785 and recorded in the NGC catalog as NGC 4336 . Royal Frost discovered the galaxy on May 7, 1904, which is listed in the IC catalog as IC 3254 .
