NGC 4341 = IC 3260 , is a lenticular dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 38 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 20,000 ly. The galaxy is registered as a member of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster under catalog number VCC 672 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4342 , NGC 4365 , IC 3259 , IC 3267 and PGC 40338 .
The object was discovered on April 13, 1784 by the astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
