IC 3244 is a spiral-shaped radio galaxy of the Hubble-type Sc in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 566 million light years from the Milky Way and about 135,000 light years in diameter. It is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VVC 627 , but it is too far away for that.

In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4298 , NGC 4302 , IC 3238 , IC 3301 .

The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
