The Interstate 86 (abbreviated I-86 ) is an interstate highway in the United States . It combines in the state of Idaho to Interstate 84 near Declo with Interstate 15 in Chubbuck for a distance of 101 kilometers.

From the intersection with Interstate 84 north of Declo, it runs together with US Highway 30 in an easterly direction. The I-86 mostly follows the course of the Snake River and passes, among other things, the Massacre Rocks State Park . To the south of the American Falls Reservoir in the American Falls metropolitan area , the interstate meets Idaho State Routes 37 and 39 . After the route has passed the Pocatello Regional Airport , the US 30 branches off in a southerly direction. After crossing US Highway 91 in downtown Chubbuck, it ends on Interstate 15 in the east of the city.
