Jørn H. Sværen

Jørn Henrik Sværen (* 1974 ) is a Norwegian songwriter , writer , translator and publisher .

Life and work

He met Kristoffer Rygg at a concert with Morbid Angel in the late 1980s , both of whom were part of the young Norwegian black metal scene at the time. Sværen played demo recordings in local radio and worked with Bård G. Eithun on Orcustus - Fanzine . In the 1990s he appeared as a songwriter and translator for Ulvers Demo Vargnatt , her album Nattens Madrigal - Aatte Hymne Til Ulven i Manden and Arcturus ' album La Masquerade Infernale . He has been an official member of the Ulver band since the early 2000s, but does not call himself a musician as he cannot play an instrument properly.

Sværen was the director of the Oslo publishing house H Press until it closed at the end of 2009. He publishes his own books, mainly poetry, among others. a. about his England Forlag. He has also translated works by Emmanuel Hocquard and Claude Royet-Journoud into Norwegian.

He lives in Oslo.
