Jack Grealish (born September 10, 1995 in Solihull ) is an English - Irish football player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Career

Grealish began his career in 2001 in the youth of Aston Villa . For his U21 he was used from 2011 in the U-21 Premier League . In the 2013-14 season he was awarded to Notts County in the Football League One , in which he scored five goals in 37 games. Upon his return, Grealish made his debut on May 7, 2014 in the 4-0 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League . For the 2014/15 season he moved up firmly to the first team. On September 13, 2015, he scored his first competitive goal for the Villans in the 3-2 defeat in the league game at Leicester City . After the 2015/16 season , he was relegated to the Football League Championship with the club .

In the second division, Grealish gradually developed into a leading player. At first he made headlines due to lack of discipline, especially when he attended a loud party in a hotel in Birmingham in September 2016 and was reprimanded by the club for this. In the 2018/19 season he was a key player on the way to promotion to the Premier League. From March 2019, in particular, he led Aston Villa onto the field as team captain and during this time there were a series of ten victorious league games.

National team

Although Grealish was born in England, due to the origins of his grandparents he played for the Irish national teams of the U17 , U18 and U21 .

In September 2015, he held talks with England coach Roy Hodgson about his future and decided to play for the England senior team in the future. On May 19, 2016, Grealish made his debut in a 1-0 win over Portugal's U20s in the English U21s . Four days later he scored two goals in a 7-1 win over Guinea's U23s .
