Jeannine Pilloud

Jeannine Pilloud (bourgeois Jeannine Pilloud Herr ; born April 12, 1964 ; resident in Zurich and Châtel-Saint-Denis ) is a Swiss manager .

Life

education and study

The Pilloud family comes from Châtel-Saint-Denis, but their grandparents moved to Dübendorf . The father worked for the Swiss Bank Corporation (today UBS ), the mother was a housewife . Pilloud grew up in Dübendorf. She attended high school in Oerlikon .

Pilloud studied German , history and journalism at the University of Zurich . At the same time she attended the Ringier School of Journalism in Zofingen and worked for Peter Uebersax for the tabloid Blick . After an excursion into the media world, she studied architecture at the ETH Zurich . She wrote her diploma thesis with Mario Campi .

From January 1990 to March 1991, Pilloud was employed as a product manager at the Swiss Business Informatics School (WISS) . She was responsible for the marketing of the IT project manager and project manager assistant courses . From April 1991 to January 1994 she worked as an architect at Suter + Suter AG , an architecture company in Basel .

From February 1994 to December 2000, Pilloud was Business Unit Manager responsible for the IT project business at IBM Switzerland . Her superior was Riet Cadonau . In this role, Pilloud worked with Isabelle Welton and Susanne Ruoff , among others . From January 2001 to May 2003, Pilloud was CIO and Head of eServices at the Bon appétit Group (now REWE ). From June 2003 to February 2011, Pilloud was Senior Vice President Western Europe ICTO at Deutsche Telekom AG .

From April 2011 to December 2017 she was Head of Passenger Transport and the first woman to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB AG). There she was responsible for the operational business of the Passenger Transport Division of SBB AG, including the subsidiaries in the area of regional transport , rail catering and tourism . Pilloud has been a delegate for public transport sector development at SBB since January 2018 . In February 2019, she announced that she would be leaving SBB.

In 2018 she started a board career . She took a position on the board of directors of the Swiss telecommunications company Salt Mobile and became a board member of Switzerland Tourism . In 2019, Pilloud ran for the Presidium of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives , but was defeated by Ursula Nold at the Migros Delegate Assembly in March .

In August 2019, Pilloud took over the management of the Swiss telecommunications company Ascom as CEO . Pilloud had been chairwoman of the board of directors at Ascom since April 2019 . On November 7th, 2019 it was communicated that Pilloud is concentrating on operational business. She is therefore stepping down as President and member of the Board of Directors with immediate effect and remains CEO.

family

Pilloud is married to Marco Herr, a Luxembourger and US-American who studied political science at George Washington University and took part in world and European championships as a swimmer . After the marriage, he took his wife's surname and became a Swiss citizen . You have two children; a daughter (* 1998) and a son (* 2000). Her husband Marco Pilloud runs a swimming school in Zollikon , where the family lives.
