Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers (born May 15, 1984 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with the Augsburg Panthers from the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
The 1.93 m tall goalkeeper played for the Saguenéens de Chicoutimi in the Canadian top junior league Québec Major Junior Hockey League when he was selected in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft as 32nd in the second round by the Edmonton Oilers . After two more seasons with the Sagueneens of Canadians joined the organization in the franchises of Alberta , which it initially at the Farm Team Edmonton Road Runners of the American Hockey League and the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL inserting.
At the beginning of the 2005/06 season , the Canadian started as goalkeeper for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the new season, which he had to end prematurely after only 13 appearances in the AHL due to a knee injury. Other AHL stations before Drouin-Deslauriers was appointed to the Oilers' NHL squad for the first time in October 2008, were the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins and the Springfield Falcons .
In July 2011, Drouin-Deslauriers signed a two-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks . At the trade deadline on April 3, 2013, he was transferred to the Minnesota Wild .
He spent the 2013/14 season with the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins before taking part in the Los Angeles Kings training camp in the summer of 2014 , but not receiving a contract. On November 19, 2014, he signed a contract with the Latvian KHL club Dinamo Riga and subsequently completed 13 appearances in the KHL.
On June 19, 2015 Deslauriers was signed by the Augsburger Panthers from the DEL for the 2015/2016 season and received no extension after the one-year contract expired.
