Jisna Mathew gained her first international experience in 2015 at the Youth Asian Championships in Doha , where she won the silver medal behind Bahraini Salwa Eid Naser in 53.84 seconds . She then took part with the Indian 4 x 400 meter relay at the Asian Championships in Wuhan , where she won the silver medal behind the team from China in 3: 33.81 minutes. She also got a starting place in the relay for the World Championships in the National Stadium in Beijing and started together with Tintu Lukka , MR Poovamma and Debasree Majumdar . Despite the season best of 3: 29.08 min, the season was eliminated in the preliminary run . Then she won the silver medal over 400 meters at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia in 53.14 s. In the following year she won the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City in 53.85 s over 400 meters and in 3: 43.57 min with the relay. She qualified for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , where she was disqualified in the individual competition in the preliminary round and eliminated with the relay with 3: 45.07 min in the preliminary round. In 2017, she won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 3: 31.34 minutes and secured the bronze medal over 400 meters in 53.32 seconds behind her compatriot Nirmala Sheoran and Quách Thị Lan from Vietnam. With the relay, she then took part again in the World Championships in the London Stadium together with MR Poovamma, Nirmala Sheoran and Anilda Thomas and was eliminated in advance by disqualification. The following year she won again at the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu in 53.26 s and won the silver medal behind the Japanese women in 3: 41.11 min. In addition, she secured the bronze medal in the 200-meter run in 24.48 seconds . At the U20 World Championships in Tampere she reached the semi-finals in the individual competition and was eliminated there with 53.86 s. With the season she did not reach the final in 3: 39.10 minutes.
In 2019 she reached the finals of the mixed relay at the World Championships in Doha, where she finished seventh in 3: 15.77 minutes. With the women's relay, however, she was eliminated with 3: 29.42 minutes in the lead.
