John Sicinski (born April 15, 1974 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . Since the beginning of the 2019/20 season, he has been the head coach of the upper division Starbulls Rosenheim .
Career
Sicinski began his career in the 1991/92 season with the Mississauga Senators, then briefly Thornhill Thunderbirds , in the Metro Junior A Hockey League (MetJHL) before settling for 1993/94 decided to the College Union in the National Collegiate Athletic Association to change, where he played up to and including the 1996/97 season.
The 1997/98 season was turbulent for Sicinski, as he was under contract with four different teams this season. He started the season with the Wheeling Nailers in the East Coast Hockey League before moving to the Columbus Cottonmouths in the Central Hockey League , which he left again in the same year to first play for league rivals Fayetteville Force and the season later to finish with the Oklahoma City Blazers .
A year later, in the 1998/99 season , he then moved to Germany for TEV Miesbach in the 2nd League South and at the beginning of the 1999/00 season he signed a contract with EHC Straubing in the Oberliga , with which he was promoted to 2. Bundesliga succeeded.
After two very successful years in the 2nd Bundesliga, Sicinski returned to North America for the 2002/03 season, where he went on the ice for Corpus Christi Rayz in the CHL.
For the 2003/04 season Sicinski moved back to Germany and he signed a contract with the Stuttgart Wizards in the league, which he left again for the 2005/06 season to spend a year at EHC Munich .
From the 2006/07 season Sicinski was under contract with Deggendorf Fire, where he came up with the shirt number 16 and was considered a pillar of the team. For the 2009/10 season Sicinski moved to league rivals EHF Passau Black Hawks , where he wore the 61 as his shirt number. For the 2010/11 season he moved to EV Regensburg, where he was also one of the regulars until the 2012/13 season. In the 2013/14 season he moved to EC Peiting , where he took over as coach from Joseph Heiss during the season . In the 2014/15 season he was also head coach at EC Peiting.
