Jules de Trooz
Jules Henri Ghislain Marie Baron de Trooz (born February 21, 1857 in Leuven , † December 31, 1907 in Brussels ) was a Belgian Catholic politician and Prime Minister.
De Trooz completed a degree in philosophy.
From 1889 until his death he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies , where he represented the interests of the Katholieke Partij of the Arrondissement of Leuven .
From August 5, 1899 to May 2, 1907, he was Minister of the Interior in the cabinet of Paul de Smet de Naeyer . He then followed this in the office of Prime Minister, which he held until his death on December 31, 1907. De Trooz was so far the last Prime Minister of Belgium to die during his tenure. The Trooz Glacier in Antarctica is named in his honor.
