The District of Saint-Savin was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Montmorillon , in Vienne, and in the region of Poitou-Charentes ; its main town was Saint-Savin . His representative in the General Council of the Département was last from 1985 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008, Michel Brouard ( PCF ).

The canton was in the east of the Vienne department. In the west it bordered the cantons of Chauvigny and Vouneuil-sur-Vienne , in the west and north on the canton Pleumartin , in the east on the Indre department and in the south on the cantons La Trimouille and Montmorillon . It was on average 103 meters above sea level , between 63 m in Angles-sur-l'Anglin and 148 m in Antigny .
