Karen Baker Landers

Karen Baker Landers (also: Karen M. Baker ) is a sound engineer who has been involved in the sound editing of around 90 film and television productions since the beginning of her career in the early 1970s. Her work has received numerous awards, including two Oscars in the Best Sound Editing category , two British Academy Film Awards in the Best Sound category and five Golden Reel Awards from the Motion Picture Sound Editors Society. It has also been nominated for two other British Academy Film Awards and seven other Golden Reel Awards.

Landers graduated from California State University in Long Beach . Through her professor Steven Hubbard , she met the two sound designers Mark Mangini and Richard Anderson , where she did an internship and collected sound samples for the film The Goonies . Landers has worked regularly with Per Hallberg since 1988 . She currently works for the Soundelux Entertainment Group in Hollywood .
