Crisis team
A crisis team is a department within an organization for emergency or disaster control . The crisis team itself does not take the lead, but only works under a manager who is experienced in leadership and who is solely responsible. This ensures that decisions can be made quickly and implemented with combined efforts even under high pressure.

The crisis team is often the basic element of a provisionally convened management and is usually replaced by another or the previous organizational form after the situation has eased. The task of the members of the staff is to advise the leader in assessing the situation, to prepare decisions and to coordinate and monitor the implementation. In an emergency, the crisis team must be put together according to the risk, maintain contact with authorities ( authorities and organizations with security tasks ), the police and fire brigade , have aids and working documents and inform the public.
Often there are plans within organizations on how to proceed in the event of a disaster and who could be needed as a member of the crisis team. These people can be trained for their tasks in an emergency through periodic exercises. If a damaging event occurs, the crisis team must be convened quickly. The plans therefore also contain agreements on the available premises, required materials or means of communication , which are important for the coordination of the necessary measures.
The planning provides for crisis-proof or protected working conditions for the staff, the group should be able to meet at any time of the day or night, communication facilities must be redundant, stable and independent of possible sources of interference. For example, an emergency power supply can be provided for the operation of a PC with disaster management software . Everything they need is kept at the workstations for staff members, including manuals, emergency documentation , site plans, work equipment or pin boards. Depending on the probable need or the possible damage in the area of the organization, the members are also provided with temporary sleeping accommodations, food and other things that could be needed for several days in the event of an increased workload.
The crisis team is to organize the organization of rescue measures during the disaster and in the initial period afterwards, to keep decision-making processes clear and to optimally instruct the helpers arriving from other areas in the tasks. Long discussions are inappropriate in such cases. The cumulative use of forces in unsuitable places or the disregard of circumstances could bring decisive disadvantages. Failure to prepare for crisis management is often fatal for the population in earthquake or flood areas, for example , because the incoming aid troops do not know what to do or where they are most urgently needed at the moment.

Civil Protection Staff
The civil protection staff is a staff of the civil protection authority.
It is usually operated in the event of regional accidents and disasters such as floods .
