Kawasaki ZX-10 Tomcat
The Ninja ZX-10 (also called ZX-10 "Tomcat" ; ZXT00B series) is a sports motorcycle that was manufactured between 1988 and 1990 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Motorcycle & Engine [3] and was part of the Kawasaki Ninja line. With a top speed of 266 km / h it was the fastest production motorcycle in 1988. [4]
design
The ZX-10 replaced the GPZ1000RX as the Kawasaki flagship. [5]
The engine was developed on the basis of the previous model, but with the same displacement but 36 mm semi-suction CV carburettors and a narrower valve angle. Other changes to the engine: The compression ratio has been increased to 11.0: 1; lighter pistons and larger valves were used. [5]
The ZX-10 was Kawasaki's first aluminum frame motorcycle, a design that has now become the standard. [2]
The aerodynamics were found to be better than those of the previous model. [5]
