Kyle Greenwood (born March 1, 1987 in Delta , British Columbia , Canada ) better known by his ring name Kyle O'Reilly , is a Canadian wrestler . He was best known for his appearances in the Wrestling League Ring of Honor , where he was under contract until January 11, 2017. He is currently under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment .

Career

Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling

Greenwood started out with the Canadian Wrestling League Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling . There he also made his ring debut in 2005. On July 21, 2007, he won his first wrestling title of his career when he defeated Ice and took his NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship from him and ended his 238-day title reign. He lost the title to Ice again after six days. On August 18, 2007 he took the title back from Ice. On the same day, Ice got a rematch and took the title back. After the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship was vacant on August 24, 2007 after a double pinfall, a Best Of Five Series between him and Ice for the vacant title was announced to end the feud. The series ended on December 28, 2007, where he defeated Ice 3-2 and won the NWA Canadian Junior Heavyweight Championship for the third time . He lost the title on July 5, 2008 to Billy Suede. In 2007 he won the Pacific Cup . In 2010 he left his doctorate. He returned briefly in 2011 and 2014 to participate in the Pacific Cup . On January 14, 2017 he returned to play a match for the ECCW Championship . On January 14, 2017, he defeated El Phantasmo and won the ECCW Championship for the first time in his career . Immediately after winning the title, he voluntarily gave up the title, as it was impossible for him to defend the title in the future.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (2011-2014)

On October 22, 2011, Greenwood debuted with his tag team partner Adam Cole for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla . With Adam Cole he feuded against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the PWG World Tag Team Championship . However, they couldn't win the title. On August 31, 2013, he won the Battle Of Los Angeles by defeating Michael Elgin in the final. On May 23, 2014 at PWG Sold Our Souls For Rock 'n Roll he won the PWG World Championship from Adam Cole . He lost the title on December 12, 2014 at PWG Black Cole Sun to Roderick Strong .

Ring of Honor (2009-2017)

Greenwood made his Ring of Honor debut on November 13, 2009 when he lost to Tony Kozina. From August 13, 2011 to January 7, 2012 he formed the Future Shock Tag Team with Adam Cole . The team broke up after Greenwood formed a new one with Davey Richards , the Tag Team Team Ambition . He then feuded with Davey Richards against his former tag team partner Adam Cole, who formed a tag team with Eddie Edwards .

Since November 3, 2012 he has been part of the reDRagon tag team with Bobby Fish . On December 16, 2012, at the ROH Final Battle , reDRagon played a match against The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards), which reDRagon lost. On March 2, 2013 in ROH 11th Anniversary won reDRagon of The Briscoe (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) the ROH World Tag Team Championship . They lost the title on July 27, 2013 to the Forever Hooligans (Alex Koslov and Rocky Romero). On August 17, 2013 at ROH Manhattan Mayhem V , reDRagon won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the second time after defeating The American Wolves . On August 8, 2014, they lost the title to the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson). On May 17, 2014, reDRagon was able to return the favor against the Young Bucks and won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the third time . They lost the title on April 4, 2015 to The Addiction ( Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian ). On November 22, 2014, reDRagon won the Tag Wars Tournament .

On December 12, 2016, in the ROH Final Battle , Greenwood defeated Adam Cole and won the ROH World Championship for the first time in his career . He lost the title to Adam Cole on January 4, 2017 at the New Japan Pro Wrestling -PPV NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11 in Tokyo Dome .

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2014-2017)

On October 25th, Greenwood and his tag team partner Bobby Fish won the Super Jr. Tag Tournament by defeating the Young Bucks in the final . On August 8, 2014 at NJPW Power Struggle , reDRagon defeated the Time Splitters (Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA) and won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion for the first time . On February 11, 2015, they lost the title to the Young Bucks after a three-way match in which the Time Splitters were also involved. On August 16, 2015, they defeated the Young Bucks and secured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion for the second time . They lost the title on January 4, 2016 at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 in Tokyo Dome again to the Young Bucks in a Four Way Match , in which Roppongi Vice (Beretta and Rocky Romero ) and Matt Sydal and Ricochet were also involved. He made his debut at NXT on August 2, 2017 , where he was defeated by Aleister Black .

World Wrestling Entertainment

NXT (since 2017)

On July 17, 2017, Greenwood made his debut with NXT , the WWE building league, where he was defeated by Aleister Black . This issue aired on August 2, 2017, which is how he made his television debut.

On August 19, 2017 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III he attacked the NXT Tag Team Champions Sanity ( Alexander Wolfe , Eric Young and Killian Dain) and their challengers The Authors of Pain ( Akam and Rezar ) with Bobby Fish , his tag team partner . Later that evening, the pair attacked NXT Champion Drew McIntyre with Adam Cole . Since then they have formed the stable The Undisputed Era .

On November 19, 2017 at NXT TakeOver: WarGames , The Undisputed Era played against Sanity and The Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong in the first War Games match in 17 years in the WWE in which they were victorious.

At the NXT edition on December 20, 2017, which was recorded on November 29, 2017, he and his stable colleague Bobby Fish from Sanity won the NXT Tag Team Championship . This reign lasted 202 days and then ultimately lost the title to Tyler Bate & Trent Seven on June 19, 2018 at the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament . However, they were able to regain the title 2 days later. This reign lasted another 219 days and then lost the title to The Viking Raiders Erik and Ivar on January 26, 2019 at NXT Takeover: Phoenix. On June 1, 2019, Reilly and his partner Bobby Fish played a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver: XXV for the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship title at which The Street Profits Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, The Forgotten Sons Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch were involved, but they could not win this match. On August 15, 2019, he and Bobby Fish won the NXT Tag Team Championship from The Street Profits Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford.

On November 23, 2019, he and his Undisputed ERA colleagues played a War Games match against Tommaso Ciampa , Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and Kevin Owens at NXT TakeOver: WarGames III . He lost that match. On November 24, 2019, he and his tag team partner Bobby Fish played a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against The Viking Raiders Erik & Ivar and The New Day Kofi Kingston & Big E at the WWE Survivor Series . He lost that match. On February 16, 2020, they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to The Broserweights Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle .
