The participants were divided into four groups (A – D) of four players each. It was played to 35 points in round robin mode. The first in the group made it to the semi-finals of the finals. There was then played on 40 points in the knockout system . There were two match billiards available that were played at the same time. Follow-ups are allowed throughout the tournament. In the knockout games, there was an extra time in the event of a tie.
