The 2009/10 season was the 17th season of the French Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro A , the top division in the French men's basketball club . It was the 88th championship in French men's basketball and the 23rd championship since the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB) was founded . The main round started on October 3, 2009 and ended on May 11, 2010 with the 30th and final game day. The play-off final round for the championship lasted until June 13, 2010.
As the defending champion, ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne started the season, which also competed in the ULEB Euroleague 2009/10 together with Entente Orléans . In the Eurocup 2009/10 the league was represented by Cholet Basket , SLUC Nancy Basket and Le Mans Sarthe Basket .
Newcomers to the 2009/10 season were Poitiers Basket 86 and Paris-Levallois Basket .
French champion was Cholet Basket , who prevailed in the final against Le Mans Sarthe Basket with 81:65.
