The 2011/12 season was the 19th season of the French Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro A , the top division in the French men's basketball club . It was the 90th championship in French men's basketball and the 25th championship since the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB) was founded . The main round started on October 7, 2011 and ended on May 16, 2012 with the 30th and final game day. The play-off final round for the championship lasted until June 16, 2012.
As defending champion, SLUC Nancy Basket started the season, which also competed in the ULEB Euroleague 2011/12 . In the Eurocup 2011/12 the league was represented by Cholet Basket , BCM Gravelines Dunkerque , ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne and Le Mans Sarthe Basket .
JSF Nanterre and JDA Dijon were promoted to the 2011/12 season .
French champion was Élan Sportif Chalonnais , who prevailed in the final against Le Mans Sarthe Basket with 95:76.

Playoffs 2011/12
Quarter and semi-finals were played in best-of-three mode. The final was played as a single game for the last time in the 2011/12 season (from the following season as a best-of-five series) and took place on June 16, 2012 in the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy .
