The district of La Victoria is located in the province of Chiclayo in the Lambayeque region in northwestern Peru . The district was established on September 13, 1984. It has an area of 40.9 km². The 2017 census counted 90,912 residents. In 1993 the population was 60,249, in 2007 it was 77,699. The district administration is located in the 30 m high city of La Victoria with 86,024 inhabitants (as of 2017). La Victoria is a south-southwest suburb of the regional and provincial capital Chiclayo . La Victoria is 1.6 miles from Chiclayo city center.
Geographical location
The district of La Victoria is located not far from the Pacific coast of northwest Peru, south of the city of Chiclayo.
The district of La Victoria borders in the northwest with the district Pimentel , in the north and east with the district Chiclayo , in the south with the district Monsefú and in the southwest with the district Santa Rosa .
