Lake Mack-Forest Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County in the US state of Florida with a population of 1010 (as of 2010).

Lake Mack-Forest Hills borders the Ocala National Forest in the northwest and is about 40 km northeast of Tavares and about 60 km north of Orlando . The CDP is affected by Florida State Road 44 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 1010 inhabitants were distributed over 447 households. The population density was 82.1 inh / km². 95.0% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.6% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 0.2% as Asian Americans . 2.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.9% to several ethnic groups. 4.8% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 25.7% of all households and people aged 65 or over in 37.0% of all households. 61.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.49 people and the average family size was 3.00 people.

23.7% of the population were younger than 20 years, 20.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 25.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 44 years. 50.3% of the population were male and 49.7% were female.

The median annual income was $ 30,833, with 16.7% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
