Lake Mack-Forest Hills borders the Ocala National Forest in the northwest and is about 40 km northeast of Tavares and about 60 km north of Orlando . The CDP is affected by Florida State Road 44 .

According to the 2010 census, the then 1010 inhabitants were distributed over 447 households.
