Pittman is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County in the US state of Florida with 180 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Pittman is bordered to the east by Lake Dorr on the edge of the Ocala National Forest . The CDP is located approximately 20 km north of Tavares and approximately 60 km north of Orlando and is crossed by Florida State Road 19 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 180 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 100 households. The population density was 54.5 inh / km². 93.3% of the population identified themselves as whites, 6.1% as African American and 0.6% as Asian Americans . 2.2% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 19.0% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 40.5% of all households. 75.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.28 people and the average family size was 2.58 people.

16.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 14.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 35.0% were 40 to 59 years old, and 34.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 54 years. 50.6% of the population were male and 49.4% were female.

The average annual income was $ 98,676, and none of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
