Ferndale is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County in the US state of Florida with 472 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Ferndale borders the city of Montverde to the southeast . The CDP is about 20 km south of Tavares and about 30 km west of Orlando .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 472 inhabitants were distributed over 126 households. The population density was 66.5 inh / km². 97.0% of the population identified themselves as white, 1.1% as African American and 0.8% as Asian Americans . 0.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.6% to several ethnic groups. 4.7% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
