The 1966/67 season the division Lower Saxony was the 18th season of the highest Lower Saxony amateur league in football . It was the third under the name Landesliga and at that time took the third highest level in the German league system. The amateurs of Hannover 96 became champions . At the promotion round to Regionalliga Nord took Leu Braunschweig , the TuS Haste 01 and 1. FC Wolfsburg part. TuS Haste 01 was able to prevail and was promoted to the regional league.

In the Verbandsliga had FC Schöningen 08 and Germania Wilhelmshaven descend. But Döhren and the amateurs of VfL Osnabrück rose from the Lower Saxony Association League . In addition, VfV Hildesheim is relegated from the regional league.
