Lardenbach is a district of Grünberg in the central Hessian district of Gießen .

geography

Lardenbach is 6.5 km east of Grünberg am Lardenbach in Central Hesse in the Vorderen Vogelsberg . The buildings of Lardenbach and Klein-Eichen merge. State road 3166 leads through the village, federal road 276 is in the west.

history

The oldest part of the city was first mentioned in a document in 776. In the past, linen weaving and ore mining in open-cast mines fed the population. After the old school had become dilapidated, a new school building was built in 1951. Today there is a kindergarten in it . The new village community center for Lardenbach and Klein-Eichen was built in 1992.

In 1939 the place belonged to the Gießen district and had 325 inhabitants.

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Lardenbach was incorporated into the city of Grünberg on February 1, 1971 on a voluntary basis.

Historical forms of names

Lardenbach was mentioned under the following names in documents that have survived (the year of mention in brackets):

  • Lardenbach (1036/51) [XIII document book of the Reichsabtei Hersfeld 1,1, no. 98]
  • Lartinbach, in (1335) [Baur, Hessian documents 1 (Starkenburg and Upper Hesse), no. 759]
  • Lartenbach, by [Baur, Hessian documents 4, no. 81]

Territorial history and administration

The following list gives an overview of the territories in which Lardenbach was located and the administrative units to which it was subordinate:

Courts since 1803

In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Gießen” was set up as a court of second instance for the province of Upper Hesse . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or registry lords and thus the "Patrimonial Court of the Counts Solms-Laubach" in Laubach was responsible for Lardenbach from 1806. The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The second instance for the patrimonial courts were the civil law firms. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .

With the founding of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance 1821–1822 were transferred to the newly created regional and city courts as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. From 1822 the Counts of Solms-Laubach let the Grand Duchy of Hesse exercise their court rights on their behalf. “ Landgericht Laubach ” was therefore the name of the court of first instance that was responsible for Lardenbach. The count also waived his right to the second instance, which was exercised by the law firm in Hungen. It was only as a result of the March Revolution of 1848 that the special civil rights became final with the “Law on the Relationships of the Classes and Noble Court Lords” of April 15, 1848 canceled.

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act with effect from October 1, 1879, as a result of which the previous grand-ducal Hessian regional courts were replaced by local courts at the same location, while the newly created regional courts now functioned as higher courts, the name was changed to "Laubach Local Court" and assigned to the district of the regional court of Giessen .

On July 1, 1968, the district court was dissolved, and the municipality of Lardenbach was added to the district of the district court of Gießen . The superordinate instances are now, the regional court Gießen , the higher regional court Frankfurt am Main and the federal court as last instance.
