The men's decathlon at the 1938 European Athletics Championships was held on September 4th and 5th, 1938 in the Stade Olympique in the French capital, Paris .

The European champion was the Swede Olle Bexell . Witold Gerutto from Poland came in second . Bronze went to Josef Neumann from Switzerland .
