2011 World Athletics Championships / men's marathon
The men's marathon at the 2011 World Athletics Championships took place on September 4, 2011 at 9:00 am local time in Daegu , South Korea and was the third run of the World Marathon Major of the year.
Abel Kirui won the race in 2:07:38 h.
Abderrahime Bouramdane , who finished fourth, was suspended for doping in 2015 and all results since 2011 canceled. It was also Ahmed Baday dropped from 27th place for doping.
