The team contested the first race with the Tour Down Under in January 2011. However, the team had to wait until March for their first victory, when the German Dominic Klemme surprisingly won the Belgian one-day race Le Samyn .

On May 9, 2011, the Flemish-Belgian driver Wouter Weylandt fell during the Giro d'Italia on the descent from the “Passo del Bocco”, around 25 kilometers before the finish of the 3rd stage in Rapallo and died at the scene of the accident. Two days later, the entire team left the Giro.

At the Tour de France , the team was unable to achieve the victory they had hoped for, but with Andy Schleck in second and Fränk Schleck in third in the overall standings, they achieved a decent result.
