Lil 'Mo (2005)

Lil 'Mo (actually Cynthia Loving * 3. November 1978 on Long Iceland , New York ) is an American R & B - singer .

biography

In the late 1990s, Lil 'Mo first made a name for herself as a background singer and chorus voice in various hip-hop productions. Her distinctive singing helped Missy Elliott's single Hot Boyz and Ja Rules Put It on Me to success. In 2001, Elektra Records released her solo debut Based on a True Story . The album produced the successful single Superwoman (Part II) , a feature with rapper Fabolous , and reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US .

Two years later, in 2003, the follow-up work, Meet the Girl Next Door , appeared . Although the CD only contained one single, 4 Ever , Lil 'Mo was able to record further successes in the same year: Her collaborations with Angie Martínez , If I Could Go , and Fabolous, Can't Let You Go , entered the charts worldwide .

After her contract with Elektra expired, Mo was signed by Cash Money Records . Her third studio album, Syndicated: The Lil'Mo Hour , was postponed several times despite the release of three singles, but missed the charts. The album Pain & Paper reached lower ranks on the American album charts in 2007 and made it into the top 20 of the R&B charts. The other studio productions - On the Moon (2009), PS I Love Me (2011) and The Scarlet Letter (2014) - could not be placed.
