Ensembles
Old town Scheßlitz with suburbs Oberend and Neumarkt
Scheßlitz , at the foot of the Andechs-Meranischen Giechburg , arose from two settlement cores: the area around the parish church (Oberend) and the fortified Meraniersitz mentioned in 1230. The parish church of St. Kilian is probably one of the 14 so-called Slavic churches of Charlemagne belonging to the diocese of Würzburg . This core of the settlement around the parish church was never included in the walling of the city; it forms the eastern suburb of Oberend. This suburb is part of the ensemble together with Wilhelm-Spengler-Straße, which leads from the parish church and where the dominant buildings of the rectory and former bailiwick are located. Of the other suburbs, Neumarkt in the west is also connected to the ensemble. The main part of the ensemble forms the elliptical city with the main street (market square), which has only a few side streets reaching south. For the market place favored by the location, market rights and walling are documented in 1395 . The main street is a street that runs through the city center and widens like a square. Its slightly curved course is bordered in the north by a closed two-storey building on the eaves side; the rear buildings of these farmhouses and inns extend to the shooting trench, where the city wall once ran. On the south side is the square-like expansion, there are also the city chapel and the town hall as well as individual gabled houses, and the baroque former caste office moved into the south-east corner. Behind the town hall and the neo-Gothic Mariahilfkapelle from 1884, which replaces a Gothic town and Marienkapelle from 1446, there is a winding alley area around Häfnermarkt and Schwemme with inconsistent development, such as the stately former Langheimer Hof and smaller farm bourgeois houses. In the western suburb, the Neumarkt, is the hospital from 1395, which was rebuilt in 1739–1774. The hospital buildings together with the St. Elisabeth Hospital Church and the pharmacy opposite form a beautiful group of hipped roof buildings that characterize this ensemble area. File number: E-4-71-185-1.
Town center Ehrl
The village represents in an impressive and well-preserved way the type of stream line village characteristic of the Jura border. The brook line is formed on both sides by peasant estates, the gables of which face the street; mostly it is half-timbered buildings from the 17th to 19th centuries. Century. The village, which is characteristically enclosed by a barn edge, lies undisturbed in the landscape; Above, a little apart, the mill belongs to it. File number: E-4-71-185-2.

Remarks
- ↑ This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
