The trained hairdresser Danni from Kölnberg tries in vain to find a permanent position after completing her law degree - neither her style nor her curriculum vitae are popular with the large law firms in the area. Out of financial need, she decides to set up a folding table in the basement of the Neumarkt -Passage in downtown Cologne , where she will now offer legal advice for one euro per minute. Danni takes her first case to court: the 50-year-old Philippine woman Mayumi (Soogi Kang) was put in front of the door after five years as a nanny and cleaning lady for the affluent Winkler couple because of her rheumatism with a severance payment of 500 euros. Her daughter Girlie (Christie Noza) now wants to get decent compensation despite illegal work . In order to help her, Danni is forced to resort to unusual means. She finds support in her friend Bea ( Nadja Becker ) and her two Passagen neighbors Rasoul ( Elyas M'Barek ) and Nils ( Oliver Fleischer ). | |||||

Passagen colleague Lutz Gallwitz ( Thomas Bestvater ) is accused by the youth welfare office of not taking care of his three children after the death of his wife after reporting his neighbor ( Gerda Böken ) . Danni wants to help the single father first, but has to find out that he is overwhelmed with the situation and daughter Jule ( Maria Ehrich ) has now taken over the upbringing of her younger siblings. When she confronts Lutz, he reacts aggressively. Danni then feels compelled to take him to court to protect his children. The Polish prostitute Eva (Anna Burowa) is also looking for help from Danni: Her residence permit has expired unexpectedly. When a suitor approaches during a conversation in the restricted area , two police officers intervene, who also mistake Danni for a prostitute. Research leads Danni and Bea back to their old school, where Ms. Hagen was employed as a teacher years earlier. Her personal file, illegally obtained there, reveals that she had actually been raped by another Turkish student three years earlier and has since been deeply traumatized. When the judge does not want to admit the files in court as evidence, Danni is forced to get crucial tips by phone from Oliver Schmidt ( Jan Sosniok ), a lawyer colleague from the large law firm on the upper floor of the passage. Meanwhile, permanent mandate Ms. Sollwitz ( Renate Becker ) ensures that the coffers are full . She is always looking for legal advice from Danni on new topics - until she finds out that the lonely old lady only uses a manual for entertainment. | |||||

The young widow Miriam Adacher ( Oona Devi Liebich ) is confronted with a huge mountain of debts after the death of her husband. When the newly acquired home is about to be foreclosed , she seeks help from Danni. This reveals that the demanding bank did not adequately check the creditworthiness of its customers before selling the new development - entirely to its own advantage. In the end, Danni can initiate a class action lawsuit in court, but the proceedings have consequences: The bank, which is also located in the Passage, enforces the termination of Danni's rental agreement with the property management company. Meanwhile, Danni is also campaigning for school bus driver Manfred Boll (Stephan Korves): The ex- alcoholic , who had been dry for years, was fired after the chairwoman of the school association Tanja Blume ( Susanne Pätzold ) , who is also active in the Alcoholics Anonymous, sees his former addiction as a danger. | |||||

Ultimately, Nils, who, after dropping out of medical school , avoided contact with his father, a successful doctor, out of shame, succeeds in delivering the decisive opinion. In contrast, the consensual divorce intentions of the Kehler couple (Maren Schlüter and Folker Banik), whose greed Danni ultimately knows how to use for her own benefit, seems inconvenient. | |||||

Clinic chief physician Prof. Ralf Andacht ( Robert Giggenbach ) switches on after a conversation with Danni, who suspects a malpractice , Oliver Schmidt and colleague Nina Breuer ( Julia Stinshoff ), who are looking in vain with Meike for an extrajudicial solution. With the help of Nils and his father Rudolf (Bernt Hahn), Danni can discover that Prof. Andacht was not present at the time of the operation and that it was carried out by an assistant doctor without supervision. In another case, Danni succeeds in mediating between her client Annemarie Walters ( Dana Cebulla ) and the inconsiderate hairdresser Fanny ( Josefine Preuss ), who is also based in the passage , after she failed to get a permanent wave several times. | |||||

Danni can decide the trial in Uta's favor, but falls apart when she learns that Linda's son has Asperger's Syndrome and that Uta is denying her family urgently needed funds. Her falling out with Danni finally brings the kiosk owner to her senses. As Julia Berg's lawyer ( Hanna Lütje ), Danni meets Oliver Schmid again in a divorce case. He represents Julia's husband Christian ( Volker Büdts ), the arrogant offspring of a wealthy family, who pretends to be penniless and refuses to give his wife the maintenance due to her. Danni is shocked when her husband Andi ( Christian Kahrmann ), from whom she has been separated for five years, suddenly appears again. Kurt is quoted in court after repeatedly driving fare dodges. Danni can get the self-enamored judge Klaus Rensing ( René Hofschneider ) to discontinue the proceedings because of insignificance, but her admission is lost for the time being when he becomes unexpectedly intrusive and she violently rejects him. Inevitably, she asks Oliver to represent her client Frank Droste ( Max Engelke ) in her place in court . The painter has been suffering from retinal detachment since a drug test, which can lead to blindness if left untreated, but the pharmaceutical company responsible for the test series does not want to pay for the expensive treatment. With the help of the pharmacy student Lars ( Matthias Walter ), who also fell ill during the tests , Oliver succeeds in convicting the test director Prof. Willing ( Peter Prager ) and both having the test series stopped and the costs for Frank's treatment. | |||||

After the situation in court threatens to escalate, Judge Matthias ( Tatjana Clasing ) presses her to hire a lawyer. When Oliver offers to help, the two get closer once more. The spouses have recourse to their insurance for the assumed damage amounting to 12,000 euros because Kalle's vehicle was not operational. With the help of a TÜV engineer ( Andreas Windhuis ), Danni can discover that the brand-new shock absorbers that he had installed shortly before the accident were defective. When she wants to initiate a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit with other injured parties, Rosa and her brother Micha ( Alexander Hörbe ) doubt their experience and switch Oliver and his partners on. Although Oliver confesses his love to her, Danni, who feels deprived of her promising mandate, and him then break up. After Kurt insulted a law enforcement officer, Danni tries to mediate between the two parties, but her behavior also provokes a complaint. The court sentenced her father and she to social hours, during which Danni had to collect dog poop from the meadow in Kurt's presence . |

While Oliver and his colleagues emerged from the legal battle over the motorcycle accident with a profitable victory, Danni continues to sit at her folding table in the basement of the Neumarkt-Passage. When she takes revenge on his car out of anger, she makes the acquaintance of Sven ( Sebastian Bezzel ), the new security man of the shopping center, who helps her out of a jam. Danni is now taking her new case to the labor court: Chef Heinz Strecker ( Michael Brandner ) was fired after allegedly stealing meat products from the company canteen. When it turns out that there are several hundred sausages that the good-natured Strecker had collected for the children's table, Danni succeeds in using the camera surveillance in the kitchen to prove that the theft has been tolerated by the employer for months. Ms. Wingenfeld ( Irene Schwarz ), Danni's second client, meanwhile wants to sue the Passagen hairdresser ( Petra Nadolny ) after she circulated advertising leaflets with the photo of her dog. Overjoyed, Danni moves into her own law office in the Neumarkt-Galerie . Her first client in the new premises, the young Turkish girl Idel (Özlem Sagdic), worries about her husband Orkan ( Orhan Müstak ), who is accused by the public prosecutor of stealing a car. Danni, who wants to prove that this is a false accusation, is conducted with her research in the strip club of the Kiez size Pit ( Dirk Borchardt ), which seems to be involved in the car theft. A short time later she made the acquaintance of the new public prosecutor August von Grün ( René Steinke ), whom she was immediately taken with. Kurt meanwhile has the faxes thick after another elevator defect and demands retroactive rent reduction from the property management. While Danni's new admirer Pit reacts to each of her rejection with even more luxurious gifts, in an interview with Bea she realizes that she is becoming increasingly fond of prosecutor August von Grün. Orkan, who meanwhile struggles to find his way around his new job in the locksmith, finds a babysitter for his son in Nils, who discovers a new calling for himself and swaps his junk shop for childcare. Danni's new client Günter Lobinger ( Peter Sattmann ) is a wealthy ex-entrepreneur who enjoys giving money away to people. Lobinger's family is therefore taking legal action against him. In the hearing, however, she learns that a tumor in Lobinger's head could have led to a change in personality and that the case is more complicated than initially thought. Pit, in turn, hopes to win Danni's affection through a convertible , but Nils ruins the back seat with a chocolate shake after a joyride. However, he has to present a certificate that requires an examination in order to be allowed to open his childcare and is once again confronted with his test anxiety. In the meantime, the electricity in Danni's apartment was turned off after Kurt upset the property management again. When the electricity started flowing again one day, however, she suspected something bad: Kurt, against her will, made common cause with Pit, who, in Kurt's sense, is increasingly putting the property management under pressure. | |||||

Season 5
On April 9, 2013, it was announced that the series would be renewed for a fifth season. The German-language premiere of the first six episodes broadcast the pay-TV channel Sat.1 emotions from July 17 to August 21, 2014. The remaining episodes were from 25 August 2014 in double episodes on the German Free TV transmitter satellite .1 broadcast.
