List of IACC yachts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The sail numbers of the new generation of the International America's Cup Class , the IACC yachts, are assigned continuously, regardless of the nationality of the yacht. The sequence number is preceded by the abbreviation (prefix) of the nation for which the yacht is competing. If a yacht is sold to another syndicate (team) in another country, the assigned sailing number is retained and only the preceding nationality code is changed to document the new ownership.

In the regatta reports there is a tendency to mention the team names in particular instead of the boat names. In many cases the yachts have no special names. It has become difficult to know exactly which yacht took part in a specific race without consulting the precise results list of the regatta committee.

The following list is part of the attempt to precisely identify individual regatta yachts and to point out key points in their history.
