1887–1889 (tenement house) | Clinker brick facade, as a testimony to the expansion of the site, of significance in terms of both building history and site development
On August 8, 1887, a building application was filed for the construction of two tenement houses on properties that are affected by the Luppe on the Bergners Garten area. Master builder and carpenter Robert Weber acted as an investor. The final revision took place on March 5, 1889. Behind the center-emphasized clinker brick facade there were two apartments on each floor, each with three rooms, a kitchen and an additional small chamber on the upper floors. Together with the adjoining corner building, the building is part of the closed street development in the immediate vicinity of the former Drei Linden entertainment establishment, now the musical comedy of the Leipzig Opera. Molded artificial stone parts structure the facade, the ground floor of which is plastered and framed by pilasters. The two middle floors are faced with clinker bricks, the third floor is smoothly plastered and is therefore not very attractive. Elements of the furnishings have largely been preserved, including the staircase and the high-quality double-leaf front door. As a document of the town's expansion in the 1880s, there is a historical value in terms of building history and development. LfD / 2013 |

1891-1892 (tenement house) | richly structured plastered facade, of architectural significance
Master bricklayer Friedrich August Heilemann, who lived in Lindenau and was born in Kleinzschocher on October 23, 1839, signed the plans for a residential building and a wash house, which were built on a plot of land on which a bowling alley and a larger laundry room building had already been built. Heilemann is also likely to be considered as a designer and executor for the new buildings erected in 1891/1892. The apartment building catches the eye with its broad facade and the rare sgraffito decoration on the second floor, formerly slate covering the converted attic. Historic stucco elements and the rustic boss plaster on the ground floor give the facade a representative character; the lavishly framed house entrance is arranged in the middle. The staircase opens up two apartments on the ground floor and three of them on the upper floors, with almost all of the furnishings being preserved. Namable owners were Erdmuthe Elisabeth Martha Korn born. Heilemann und Comrades (from 1908), the locksmith Karl Otto Theile (1921) and Otto Walter Theile with entry in the land register in 1931. In 1928, an application was made to build a rolling house on the property. Local building historical importance, of architectural interest. LfD / 2011 |

1890-1891, later remodeled (apartment building) | Sparsely decorated plaster facade, of architectural significance
Two facade designs are preserved in the building file issued in 1890, by architect Richard Pötzsch and master mason Karl Quasdorf. The latter design was commissioned by the company until August 1891, as was a wash house and rolling building in the courtyard. Innkeeper Bruno Richard Windisch expanded his restoration in the neighboring house (today Georg-Schwarz-Straße 18a) to include a lounge and a kitchen at number 19, and in 1922 the guest rooms were rebuilt for residential use (client was Abraham Behr). At the same time, the entire facade was re-plastered, which involved smoothing and adding a few Art Deco decorations. The two side projections of the three-in-hand stand out weakly, a striking horizontal structure of the building was created by leaving the cornices and window sills in place while the roofs were chipped off and all stucco decorations were removed. Since January 1933 the house was owned by the Prussian civil servants' association in Hanover - mutual life insurance association. The preserved equipment includes the double-leaf front door. The building is of scientific and documentary value for the development of the local history in Lindenau. LfD / 2011 |

Residential house in open development in the rear, with garden | Demmeringstrasse 34 (map) |
in the core 1876 (residential building), 1891–1892 (residential building) | Building moved away from the street, plastered facade, of importance in terms of building history and urban district development history
The first residential building without a surrounding farm was a small, picturesque villa building on what was then Poststrasse (number 12) for the landowner and local judge Hermann Carl Koch, who submitted plans signed by master builder F. Pätzig in 1876 for approval. The four-axle, single-storey building on the eaves with a dwelling, Swiss roof and basement. Under master bricklayer J. Laminated wood, the house underwent major renovations in 1891–1892 for businessman Leo Leiser Kohnheim. This gave the now stucco-free plastered building a stricter appearance created by cornices and window frames, to the right of it the post office at number 10. The enclosure - picket fence between sandstone pillars - was removed on the road in 1927 with a shop front placed in front of the residential building (the commercial building between two apartment buildings today changed). Alfred Max Lanzendorf signed Friedrich Hartmeyer for the drawings and Franz Lindner for the construction work. At the same time installation of an attic apartment in the residential building. A new building project to build a front house was not carried out. Of particular importance in terms of local development and architectural history. LfD / 2012 |

Villa in half-open development with front garden, paved path and fence | Demmeringstrasse 35 (map) |
1900–1901 (villa), 1900–1901 (enclosure) | Villa-like building with turrets, richly structured, representative sandstone facade, in the style of late historicism, built for the machine manufacturer Friedrich Förste (co-owner of the lining machine factory Förste & Tromm), of architectural and artistic importance
In 1877 the property was owned by August Reichenbecher and built on with a single-storey house. The new owner, master bookbinder Karl Friedrich Förste, contracted the architect Otto Lehmann to transform the building into a country house. A house extension planned in 1892 was not implemented until 1895 according to plans by architect Ludwig Trommler. As early as 1900–1901, Förste had a new villa built on the property with the help of the Leipzig architect Heinrich Rust. The transition between the recessed (villa) structure and the historicism house on the neighboring property, which is in the street, is solved with finesse. The front garden is surrounded by an attractive fence. For the residential building, a base made of granite ashlars and a facade clad with sandstone slabs were used, which clearly shows the influences of the Neo-Renaissance. With its open vestibule, the street-side arbor, an attached wooden veranda and the polygonal stand bay window, a building with a picturesque appearance was created, to which the multi-part roof landscape with gables and turrets also contributes. In 1920, an application was made for an attic apartment, and in 1946 minor alterations were made and the house was converted into a day care center. For this purpose, a vestibule and the renovation of the attic were submitted in the 1960s. The test report on the conversion of the after-school care center into a kindergarten dates from February 1983. The veranda was rebuilt in 2003 as part of the extensive building renovation. Architectural, artistic and historical value. LfD / 2015 |

The six-axle apartment building was built between 1887 and 1888 (Albertinerstraße, later Wettinerstraße) as a couple with a corridor, kitchen, living room and two chambers - but only with a toilet on half the stairs for two apartments. The client was Carl Nelb senior from Gundorfer Strasse in Lindenau, and Gundorfer Strasse was one of the best business locations in Leipzig-Lindenau. Master builder F. Otto Lehmann may be accepted for design and execution. Locking plans were submitted in 1893, and in 1911, businessman Johannes Robert Funke submitted an application to convert the ground floor. The owners in the following years were businessman Wilhelm Paul Elze, Curt Fritz Winkler and, from June, Dr. Konrad Lewinsohn "by way of retransfer to settle the compensation claim". Traditional Wilhelminian style building with a plastered facade over quarry stone plinth, house passage, stucco decor and an expanded mansard storey, probably formerly covered with slate. The quarter to be developed was referred to as the “development plan of the soap manufacturer Moritz Friedrich”, and the Lindenau bricklayer Hermann Paul Schmeißer built a residential building on parcel 898q. The architect Gustav Bobach, who also acted as site manager during the execution period 1903/1904, contributed designs. Shortly before the final examination, the master carpenter Karl Friedrich Franke took over the property. In the line of owners followed: Friedrich's heirs, Theodor Richard Pfützner, tram conductor Friedrich Paul Tittmann, innkeeper Emil Richard Sperling and Dr. med. dent. Otto Miehe. The latter failed in the second half of 1945 with the idea of an attic extension (design by architect Gustav Wadewitz). Behind the clinker brick facade above the grooved ground floor and brick plinth, two apartments on the ground floor and three apartments each on the floors above were planned in 1903. The street front in a symmetrical structure with a slight emphasis on the two middle floors, the central axis and the two outer axes. The rental apartment building from the Art Nouveau period with architectural historical value, the house is a testimony to the area of expansion. LfD / 2013 |

1925–1926 (double tenement house) | Plastered facade, front door with colored glazed skylight, lead-glazed staircase windows, important in terms of building history
Allgemeine Wohnhaus-Baugesellschaft mbH Leipzig was responsible for the three-storey tenement house built in 1925/1926 on the corner of what was then Ottostraße. Contracts existed with the building manager F. Otto Gerstenberger for plans and drafts and the builders R. Rost and Marx for the execution of the earthworks and masonry work. With a smooth plastered facade, a semi-detached house with Paul-Küstner-Strasse 1 was built in an open construction, along with side accesses. Three apartments with internal bathroom and toilet could be rented per house and floor, a second attic apartment in the summer of 1926 required the fulfillment of special conditions. New windows were installed in the second half of 1997, a complete renovation had not yet started in 2018. The equipment is above average, in contrast to the very simple street-side facade, which does without decorative decor with the exception of a few window frames. The corner building, which has a building-historical value, is effective in shaping the street scene. LfD / 2018 |

The three-storey front residential building was built for and by the building contractor Gustav Albrecht Heinichen on a property formerly owned by the Leipzig Westend construction company. The designing architect and site manager was Karl Voigt, living in Lindenau, Calvisiusstrasse. After a six-week examination period, the building permit was granted on May 1, 1914 and the final examination was carried out on September 22 of the same year. All fencing on the Westend construction company's site had to be carried out according to a uniform plan and had to be painted white. The apartment building itself was built just a little earlier than the connecting building at Rietschelstrasse 27. The distinctive elements of the effective plastered facade are the bay windows, structured by plastered pilaster strips and a rounded arched dwelling on the gable, large windows and a moving roof landscape, the house entrance on the courtyard side. 1947 Approval for the installation of an attic apartment, renovation mainly over the period 1997–2000. In March 1903, the architect Carl Fischer applied for the parceling of the area and in May for the development of the property with a residential building at the front, and at the same time assumed the construction costs and execution of the work. A house with a business zone and an apartment on each of the upper floors (already with internal bathroom / toilet) was built on a narrow plot of land in a semi-open development. The final test took place on February 29, 1904, a wash house was added to the rear and four tenant gardens were set up. On the street side, a mighty box bay window on support brackets decorated with heads dominates the charming Art Nouveau facade, which is enriched by decor, artificial stone window frames and visible frameworks. The staircase with an oval floor plan is refined, parts of the dignified furnishings have been preserved even after the renovation. 1924 (workshop) | Clinker brick construction, only a few testimonies to these small-scale production facilities from the 1920s have survived - this is the reason for the architectural and local historical value of the brick buildings described
Builder Julius Kaiser, owner of an ironworks and art forge, had a single-storey workshop building built in 1923 according to plans by architect Carl Voigt, with architect Richard Edler taking over the construction and the execution by Albin Zehmisch. Tectures on the drawings come from the architects Crawfurd-Jensen & Edler based at Leipzig Burgstrasse 1–5. The fencing with meter houses (1923), storage sheds (1925), a petrol pump (1925), a shop (1928) and other workshops, some of which were built in, were built on the through lot, which initially reached as far as William-Zipperer-Straße 15. A steel construction sales room (1926) for the company Sächsische Keks- und Waffelfabrik Ernst Schneider AG, produced by Carl Kästner AG, a safe and safe building company in Leipzig, founded in 1846, was a rarity. The listed workshop building was increased and expanded in 1924 by the builders from the construction company Berger & Weiland from Lindenau. Large windows and a strict clinker brick architecture characterize the building, which is closed off with a flat roof. Only a few such testimonies of small-scale production facilities from the 1920s have survived - this is the reason for the architectural and local historical value of the brick buildings described. 1890-1892 (tenement house) | Front building with gate passage, with shops, plastered facade, wooden panels in the entrance area, historically important
Master carpenter August Theile from Magdeburg acted as a building contractor for the construction of apartment buildings based on designs by architect Hermann Knorr. Three apartments per floor were planned, each with a living room, two chambers, kitchen and AWC, on the ground floor only one apartment due to the passage. The concession granted with the building permit of July 28, 1890 passed to mosaic and stone setting master Robert Schmölling, who in March 1892 applied for the final acceptance for the front residential building and the wash house. Half a year later the shop was supposed to be enlarged and in 1899 the businessman August Christoph Steinbrück submitted the application for a new stable in the courtyard to the authorities. In 1902 a shop was built according to a plan by architect Gustav Emil Reiche, which was still in operation in 1958 as a consumer self-service shop. A historical facade richly provided with plaster structures, artificial stone incorporations and stucco decoration, including a kymation strip on the eaves, as well as an extended mansard floor. Historical tenement building preserved with a high degree of originality and authenticity in a closed ensemble of one of Leipzig's most important access roads. LfD / 2012 |

1906–1909 (tenement house) | Plastered facade, two bay windows, reform style architecture, of importance in terms of building history
In 1906 and again in 1908, private man Bruno Eduard Gödecke submitted a building application for the construction of a residential and commercial building, contracting the master builder and architect Otto Leonhardt from Kleinzschocher. Immediately before construction began, the client changed: now, master bricklayer Albin Böhme from Leutzsch is well-known as an entrepreneur and executor. The minutes of the final examination are dated August 26, 1909. The facade was repainted in 1939, project plans were submitted as part of the WI 1 & 2 modernization complex of the Leipzig building industry in 1976. Two box oriels and a dwarf house give the axially symmetrical facade a great dynamic and representative character. Of particular interest is the generous furnishing, including the box windows and interior doors. Architecturally and historically remarkable evidence of the Leutzsch local development at the beginning of the 20th century. LfD / 2012 |
