On behalf of Miss Elfriede Eberlein, architect A. Uttecht from Marienbrunn designed a shop building, which was built in 1933 on the street An der Tabaksmühle. The single-storey kiosk, which is "adapted to the surrounding buildings in terms of its exterior", blends harmoniously into the ensemble of the building fair complex with its gray-lime scratch plaster facade over a base made of red iron bricks. Two shops (initially a hairdresser and grocery store) with a shop and toilet were located in the building, which is only nine meters wide and seven meters deep, and the storage rooms in the basement. 1932 (apartment building), 1955-1956 (apartment building, reconstruction number) Plastered facade, echoes of the modern style, part of the experimental settlement of a building fair, of local and architectural significance

Building block IVa of the construction estate was built in 1932-1933 according to the plans drawn up the year before by the architect Walther Beyer on behalf of the Landes-Siedlungs- und Wohnungs-Fürsorgegesellschaft mbH "Sächsisches Heim". The building contractors were Emil Bödemann and Eduard Steyer. The walls, made of Lutz bricks or hollow blocks, were given a light-colored scratch plaster facade, and hollow block beams from the Zuberek system were used for the ceilings. Of the four originally combined houses, three were destroyed in the war, and from 1955-1956 the outer cubature of the apartment block was restored as part of the reconstruction program. Inside - according to the announcement of the design office for building construction I of the council of the Leipzig district - "larger and timely apartments" should be obtained (15 units). The architect Franz Lindner from Altenbauch near Wurzen was involved in the planning. The semicircular staircase protruding from number 6 and the two rear exits on artificial stone consoles (number 4) are characteristic of the building erected over a clinker base. The appearance of the experimental construction settlement could thus be regained, at the same time the apartment block is a document of the reconstruction and the architectural conception in the mid-1950s. 1938-1939 (sgraffito) Sgraffito of a farmer on a former bakery building, a rarity, of cultural and historical importance

Master baker Ernst Busch applied for the construction of a house with a bakery extension, the plans submitted by (designated) architect MA Schmidt in March 1938 were implemented in the same year. The listed bakery building was designed with commercial rooms on the ground floor, the baker's apartment above, journeyman's chamber in the attic and laundry room in the basement. The construction company Uhlich & Teichgräber, based in Luppenstrasse, was commissioned with the execution of the two-story house. The sgraffito with the depiction of a sower is a rarity; by scraping off the top layer of plaster of a different color, the figurative depiction, signed by the artist, which is still in its original form, was created. The adjoining residential building with a corner store was not recorded as a cultural monument. The commercial building is an interesting testimony to the development of the district of Marienbrunn, where there are only a few commercial establishments, shops and no factories, the sgraffito is a rarity. During the turmoil of the war, the Leipzig consumer cooperative took over the property, at the end of 1942 the Hamburg-based joint venture of the German Labor Front. In 1966, the consumer sales point 266 is named as the main commercial user in connection with the rearward extension of a goods lock. Refurbishment, along with some changes to the floor plan. The front sides are lightly plastered over a dark brick base, the ground floor zones are completely designed as business zones. The two stepped gables are striking, a motif that was implemented the year before on the new building of the parish hall of the evangelical parish in nearby Connewitz by building officer Richard Wagner. At the corner of Triftweg and Sterntalerweg, the corner of the second floor is accentuated by clinker strips. The rear facade with the house entrances, which is easily visible from the Sterntalerweg, has a high-quality architectural design, with two prominently protruding staircase towers with ribbon windows, intermediate loggias and window frames made of exposed brickwork on the ground floor. A special feature of the design are randomly arranged protruding stones on the clinker surfaces. LfD / 2019

In the years 1927-1930 the elongated row of tenements was built on behalf of GAGFAH (non-profit corporation for salaried homes, Berlin-Steglitz). In their construction department, the drafts were also drawn by the architects Arno Herold and Fritz Herold (both also responsible for the construction management), the execution was carried out by Philipp Holzmann AG (numbers 6-16 in the period 1927-1928) and the master builder Friedrich Emil Stoye (Numbers 18-30 in the period 1929-1930). The three-storey building block closes off the residential areas at An der Märchenwiese from the wide Triftweg access road and, despite its simple design, holds its own against the more elaborate apartment blocks on the opposite side. Simple plastered façades over clinker plinths are accentuated in particular by the staircase axes and the two-axis standing bay windows protruding on the courtyard side, while the tile-covered roofs on Triftweg create a special aesthetic effect. The complex, together with Zwickauer Strasse 75-99, is a high-quality example of social housing construction in the 1920s, "in particular to remedy the shortage of small apartments ...". The furnishings in the houses are almost completely preserved, renovation 2007. LfD / 2007

1927-1928, semi-detached house number 5 (semi-detached house) Plastered facade with brick plinth and sandstone structure, part of the Mariental settlement, urban and socio-historical significance

Only the left half of the double dwelling at Zwergenweg 5/7, built between 1927 and 1928, remained. Number 7 was largely destroyed in the war, but according to the property owners it could neither be rebuilt nor demolished. The demolition was carried out by the Oehlert company in 1952, but without clearing the property. This took place later and from 1963 garages were built here. In 2011/2012, the historic appearance of the twin house could be regained with the new building of number 7 through a creditable private initiative of an interested client. The building owner in the 1920s was the local group Leipzig Süd-Ost eV of the General Saxon Settlers Association for the house and the Mariental settlement as a whole. The land was taken over by the city under heritable building rights and passed on to members as building sites. Architect Johannes Koppe took over the design and construction management, Messrs E. Illing (number 5) and Artur Rodewald (number 7) provided the financing. The master builders Emil Hedel and Oswald Schütze are on record for the execution of the house, designated as type B in terms of the room layout. The simple plastered façade is characterized by a brick base, which was previously exposed, with a narrow cornice, profiled eaves, narrow window frames and wooden folding shutters. On each side, single-storey extensions with broadly grooved frames accommodate the house entrances, while the rear fronts lead through verandas into the garden area. Roof houses stand on the tile-covered surfaces of the hip roof. Zwergenweg 5 has a side garden with remains of the historical enclosure. LfD / 1998, 2019

1929-1930 (residential complex) plastered facades typical of the time, Triftweg 6-10 and Triftweg 12-30, belonging to the residential complex, document of social housing to alleviate the housing shortage in the 1920s, of architectural and socio-historical importance

Between 1929 and 1930 fourteen six-family houses with 4 ½ and 3 ½ apartments were built between the current streets of Triftweg and An der Märchenwiese under the supervision of master builder Friedrich Emil Stoye. The client is the Berlin Gagfah (non-profit corporation for salaried homes, branch east). The construction department of Gagfah and Sächsisches Heim Landes-Siedlungs- und Wohnungs- Fürsorgegesellschaft GmbH, district management Leipzig, are responsible for the design and construction management. The overall concept corresponds to the usual schemes of social housing with front beds facing the street and lawns to the rear, two knocking bars, drying areas and tree-lined playgrounds with sandboxes. Simple plastered facades with clinker brick structure, the equipment completely preserved (compare Triftweg 6-30). LfD / 2007

The building application for the apartment buildings in the two apartment blocks between Probstheidaer Straße and An der Märchenwiese (development plan Connewitz-Ost) was submitted on August 23, 1928 by the Landes-Siedlungs- und Wohnungsfürsorgegesellschaft mbH "Sächsisches Heim" (Dresden), the design and construction supervision were in hand by the Leipzig-based architect Walther Beyer. The final examination took place a year later, and the files mention the cooperation of the Bauindustrie AG FA Müller (execution?). Smooth plastered facades over clinker plinths, framing front door framing elements, cornice to the first floor and wooden shutters on the ground floor.
