The Lodnerhütte ( Italian Rifugio Cima Fiammante ) is a shelter in the Oetztal Alps belonging Texelgruppe in South Tyrol . The hut is located southwest of the Lodner in the Zieltal valley at an altitude of 2259 m slm. It is located in the Texel Group Nature Park .
history
The Lodnerhütte was built in 1891 by the Meran section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club . After the hut had been enlarged in 1894, a new building was inaugurated in 1908. The Lodnerhütte, operated by the DÖAV until 1923, was expropriated in 1923 and handed over to the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) in 1924 . Renovation work dates back to 1998. In 2011 the South Tyrolean provincial government decided to buy the hut from the Merano section of the CAI for 607,000 euros. Since 2015, the state of South Tyrol has been supported in the management of the hut (assignment to tenants, supervision of management, renovation measures) by a joint commission, in which the AVS and CAI are represented in addition to the public sector .
Increase opportunities
The hut can be reached through the target valley of Partschins . The ascent from the end of the road (just before the Partschins waterfall) takes a little over four hours. The Lodnerhütte can be reached in around three hours from the Texelbahn mountain station.
Tour possibilities
Due to its central location in the Texel Group, the hut is suitable as a starting point for many ascents, including Lodner ( 3228 m ), Roteck ( 3337 m ) and Tschigat ( 2998 m ).
