Louise Sorel
Louise Sorel (* 6. August 1940 in Los Angeles , California as Louise Jacqueline Cohen ) is an American actress .
Life
Sorel's acting career began on stage in the 1960s, where she appeared in the Broadway plays Take Her, She's Mine , Lorenzo , Man and Boy and The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window , among others .
She played her first major film role in the 1965 film The Party's Over . She had other film appearances in BS I Love You (1971), Hotel Whisper (1971), A Crook Seldom Comes Alone (1972) and Beach Parties (1984).
She gained prominence on television through her role Augusta Lockridge in the soap opera California Clan , which she impersonated with interruptions from 1984 to 1991. From 1986 to 1987 she played the Judith Russell Sanders in Love, Lies, Passion . From 1992 to 2000 and 2009 to 2011 Vivian Alamain in Time of Longing . The latter role earned her five Soap Opera Digest Awards . The numerous other television series in which she appeared include Route 66 (1963), Raumschiff Enterprise (1969), here she played the android Rayna Kapec, Medical Center (1971–1975), Kojak - Einsatz in Manhattan ( in the episode Planet of the Immortals ). 1974, 1977), Ladies' Man (1980–1981), and Under the California Sun (1982). In 2014 she played Emily Tanner in the web series Beacon Hill .
Sorel was married to actor Herb Edelman from 1964 to 1970 and to actor Ken Howard from 1973 to 1975 .
