Ludwig Schütze (born October 28, 1934 in Berlin ; † June 12, 2012 in Zurich ) was a German actor and radio play speaker .

Live and act

Ludwig Schütze received his actor training in Berlin and Munich . He had theater engagements from 1962 to 1964 at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin and in the season 1965/66 at the theater in the gallery in Mannheim and at the room theater in Heidelberg . Further stations were the New Theater Hannover in the 1966/67 season, the Theater Biel Solothurn from 1968 to 1971, the German Chamber Games in Buenos Aires in 1971 and the Municipal Theaters of Augsburg from 1971 to 1973 . He had regular guest appearances on various stages in Bern , Cologne , Bonn , Düsseldorf , Munich and Stuttgart . Schütze gave, among others, the Balthasar in Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice (1963, director: Erwin Piscator ), the recruiter in Bertolt Brecht's mother Courage and her children , the title roles in Goethe's Egmont , the Adam Brant in O'Neill's Mourning Elektra ( 1974, directed by Siegfried Meisner ) and the monk in Osbornes Luther (1963, directed by Peter Zadek ).

Ludwig Schütze became popular in Germany through his appearances from the beginning of the 1990s in television series such as Der Alte , Derrick , Tatort and Schlosshotel Orth . He took part in radio plays and recorded numerous audio books.

Ludwig Schütze was married to the actress Rosemarie Wolf since 1973 . He is the father of the actress Martina Schütze .
