Lukas Scherff (born July 14, 1996 in Schwerin ) is a German soccer player . The left defender is under contract with FC Hansa Rostock .

Career

Scherff started in the junior team at Schweriner SC before joining the youth team at FC Hansa Rostock in 2010 via FC Eintracht Schwerin . After good performances in the youth training center up to the A-Junioren-Bundesliga, he got a professional contract until 2018 in the beginning of 2015. In the first team he only played on the 20th and 21st matchdays of the 3rd division against Preußen Münster and FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . In addition, there were two appearances in the state cup , which Hansa also won in the end. Thus, Scherff is one of the state cup winners in 2015. Before he was awarded to FC Schönberg 95 in January 2016 , Scherff mainly played in the major league with the 2nd team of FC Hansa Rostock. There he played all games over the full distance.

At FC Schönberg 95, in the Regionalliga Nordost , Scherff played for the first time on the 22nd matchday against Viktoria Berlin . By the end of the season he played all other league games there - 13 in number. In the state cup final there was a clash with his training club Hansa. With a lot of effort, and only after a penalty shoot-out, the Rostockers won, very tightly, 4: 3 against the team from Schönberg and thus also Scherff. In June 2016, the loan to Schönberg was extended for another year. In the 2016/17 regional league season , Scherf made 31 appearances and four goals, as well as three appearances and one goal in the national cup. In terms of sport they all reached 11th place in the table. Schönberg withdrew from the league for financial reasons, the loan to Scherff from Rostock ended.

Back at FC Hansa, Scherf played two appearances for the 2nd team of the Kogge in the major league , before he was considered by Hansa coach Pavel Dotchev on matchday 11 of the third division season 2017/18 against VfR Aalen (1-0) . Further short appearances in the 3rd soccer league followed and finally, on matchday 18, Scherff went on the pitch for the first time over 90 minutes - away against the HFC (2-0). His first goal was not long in coming and he succeeded, also away, against SV Meppen on matchday 23. At the end of the season Lukas Scherff made 21 third division appearances and three goals as well as six appearances and three goals in the state cup, which he won at the end of the season together with the team around Hansa against FC Mecklenburg Schwerin (2: 1). For many connoisseurs, Scherff was now the discovery of the season. In February 2018, his contract was extended to the end of June 2021.

Lukas Scherff became a regular player in the third division 2018/19 season. Both coach Pavel Dotchev and Jens Härtel - from January 2019 as head coach at Hansa in office - rely on Scherff's achievements. However, Scherff's upward trend was interrupted in April 2019 due to a ruptured cruciate ligament. By then he had completed 28 third division games in which he scored three goals. He also won the cup for the third time due to his four appearances for Hansa in the state cup (one goal). The left winger made his comeback at the end of November 2019 at the home game against the Würzburger Kickers , his first goal of the 2019/20 season came three game days later against Viktoria Köln . From his comeback on, Scherff played in every other third division game of the season and placed sixth in the table with Hansa. He also won the Lübzer Pils Cup ; in terms of numbers now for the fourth time.
