Manuela Zinsberger (born October 19, 1995 in Stockerau , Austria ) is an Austrian soccer goalkeeper who has played in the FA Women's Super League at Arsenal WFC since the 2019/20 season and is active for the senior national team .

Life

Zinsberger grew up in the village of Niederfellabrunn within the market town of Niederhollabrunn . Her father also played as a goalkeeper. She was initially trained at the LAZ Stockerau and from 2009 in the AKA St. Pölten. From the 2011/12 school year she moved to the newly founded National Center for Women's Football in St. Pölten .

In 2017 she was named Austrian of the Year in the International Success category.

In her youth, Zinsberger played for USV Leitzersdorf , SV Stockerau and USV Großrußbach .

SV Neulengbach

In the summer of 2010 she moved to the Bundesliga club SV Neulengbach and made her debut on October 30, 2010 (9th matchday) - shortly after her 15th birthday - in a 1-1 home game against FC Südburgenland . On June 27, 2014, Zinsberger signed a three-year contract with FC Bayern Munich . She made her debut for FC Bayern Munich on September 21, 2014 (3rd matchday) when she and the second team won 4-1 in the away game against ETSV Würzburg . After Zinsberger had played international matches for the U-17 and U-19 national team , she made her debut on June 2, 2013 - not yet 18 years old - in Radlje ob Dravi in a 3-1 win in the test international against the selection of Slovenia with a substitution in the second half for Anna-Carina Kristler . At the Algarve Cup 2014, it was used on March 7th in the 2-0 defeat against North Korea and on March 12 in the 2-1 win against Portugal . She also played three qualifying games for the 2015 World Cup in Canada : the 3-0 win on October 26, 2013 in Budapest against Hungary and the two 3-1 defeats against France on October 31, 2013 in Ritzing and on April 9, 2014 in Le Mans .

In March 2016 she won the Cyprus Cup with Austria as the first participant . With the senior national team, she completed the second qualifying round for the 2017 European Championships as runner-up in Group 8 behind Norway and qualified for a major tournament for the first time. The team reached the semi-finals at the Women's Euro 2017 .
