Marcos Siebert

Marcos Siebert (born March 16, 1996 in Mar del Plata ) is an Argentine racing driver . He won the Italian Formula 4 championship in 2016 . In 2017 he drove in the GP3 series .

Career

Siebert began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 , in which he remained active until 2010. In 2011 he made his debut in formula racing and drove in the Formula Metropolitana . He also started in this championship in 2012.

In 2013 Siebert moved to Jenzer Motorsport in Europe and competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . He was 24th in the drivers' championship. He also took part in two Alpine Formula Renault races. After a one-year break from racing, Siebert switched to the Italian Formula 4 championship in 2015 , where he competed for Jenzer Motorsport. He won two races and finished the season as the best driver on his team in fifth place in the championship. He also drove two races in the GT4 European Series in GT racing . In 2016 Siebert stayed with Jenzer in the Italian Formula 4 championship. Siebert won four races and achieved a total of nine podium finishes. With 233 to 216 points, he won the championship against Mick Schumacher .

In 2017 Siebert switched to Campos Racing in the GP3 series . After the fifth race weekend, he finished 16th overall.
