Kari began his motorsport career in karting in 2009 , where he remained active until 2014. In 2014 he was fifth in the CIK-FIA European card championship and the WSK Super Master Series and 13th in the CIK-FIA world kart championship. 2015 Kari joined the single-seater racing and was a cockpit in the newly established North European Formula 4 Championship . In 21 races, Kari failed to make it into the top two only twice. He won twelve races. With 449 to 296 points he prevailed against Vladimir Atojew and was the first driver champion of the racing series. As this he received a title award of 350,000 euros .
In 2016 Kari moved to Motopark in the European Formula 3 Championship . In addition, he was accepted into the funding program of the beverage manufacturer Red Bull . After being on the podium four times, he won his first Formula 3 race in Imola . He finished the season on the tenth championship course. He also completed a race weekend in the GP3 series for Koiranen GP . In 2017 , Kari received a master cockpit for the GP3 series at Arden International . At the end of the season he finished 10th. In 2018 he started again in the GP3 series for MP Motorsport. In the ranking he finished 17th. During the year he switched to the FIA Formula 2 Championship within the team . Here he finished 24th at the end of the year.
