Michael Jäger (actor)
Michael Jäger (born August 23, 1966 in Weinheim ) is a German actor .
Life
Michael Jäger was sent to an orphanage when he was four years old . He later grew up in Kaiserslautern after being adopted by a family . According to his own statements and according to the information in his autobiography , he was abused, blackmailed and forced into prostitution as a child and teenager . Before his acting career, Jäger was active in the hooligan scene at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . He also frequented the right-wing extremist scene and was temporarily chairman of the Kaiserslautern District Association of Young National Democrats . He succeeded in leaving the scene through a theater project by Walter Weyers , who was then chief dramaturge at the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern.
Jäger went to Munich , where he graduated from the Zinner Studio drama school from 1989 to 1992 . In 1991 he worked for the first time in the television series SOKO 5113 , in 2004 and 2005 he participated again in the series. After completing his acting training, he mainly played leading episode roles in television series such as Forsthaus Falkenau (1995), Die Strandclique (1999) and For all cases Stefanie (2003). He became famous for his role of teacher Matthias Kruse in the daily ARD - soap opera Marienhof was shown in which he 1995-2005 and 2005-2006 and last of 2007.
In the theater he played in school with clowns (1991), Let's try it with love (1995) and Black Comedy (2009). Since 2005 he has taken on roles in various short films by film graduates, including the award-winning short film Bazar , which won the BMW Award . At the end of the 2000s, Grimme Prize winner Aljoscha Pause processed Jäger's fate and shot the documentary The Michael Jäger Story - From Hooligan to Series Star , which was shown in 2008 on what was then TV station DSF (now Sport1 ).
When the Hessischer Rundfunk (HR) announced in September 2009 that a new "investigator" was being sought for the Frankfurt crime scene , Jäger chose the Internet for his application for the "dream job" and from then on recruited supporters from online social networks such as Twitter or Facebook . While HR has not yet reacted to this, its public campaign “Application 2.0” met with some interest from tabloids and the daily press . Thanks to the application, Jäger was offered a two-day episode role as a detective in the Konstanz crime scene " The Black House " from the SWR . The crime scene aired in 2011.
Jäger is politically active against the restriction of basic rights and the introduction of " censorship laws ". Among other things, he took part in a demonstration under the motto "Delete instead of lock", which took place in Munich in June 2009 and where he appeared as a speaker. With reference to his own biography, he spoke out against Internet bans and called for the prosecution of offenses in the field of child pornography to be intensified .
Michael Jäger was married and has three children with his divorced wife. He lives in Munich . There he also worked as a restaurateur .
He currently runs a YouTube channel called Zorneding.TV, where he has lived since 2017.
Since September 2017 he has been working as a volunteer stadium announcer at the local TSV Zorneding 1920 eV
Since January 2018 he has been an honorary member of the board of the football club of TSV Zorneding 1920 eV
