Michel Zeiter (born April 22, 1974 in Wil ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and today's trainer and official.

Career

Michel Zeiter began his career in the junior division at EHC Wil. In 1988 he moved to the juniors of the EHC Kloten , with whom he became Swiss U20 champion in 1991 (elite Jr. A). He spent the 1991/92 season at Grasshoppers Club Zurich in the third class first division . He then moved to Zürcher SC , for which he played until 2007 and with which he won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2000/01 . In 2001 , Zeiter was seriously injured in the neck by an opponent's ice skate.

From 2007 to 2009 he played for the SCL Tigers . He began the 2009/10 season with the SCL Tigers before moving to EHC Kloten in October 2009 as part of a player swap .

From 2010 to 2012 he played for the EHC Visp , with whom he became champion of the National League B in 2011 . After the 2011/12 season, Zeiter ended his playing career.

Internationally, he played for the Swiss national ice hockey team at the B-WM of the Ice Hockey World Championships 96 and 97 and at the A-WM 98 to 01 .

After he had already jumped in as a player- coach at EHC Visp in the 2010/11 season, he took over the coaching position there again from 2012/13 . After being in the 2013/14 season had been replaced at the EHC Visp, he was up at the end of the 2013/14 season in the coaching staff of the SC Rapperswil-Jona operates. Then he was in charge of coaching for the rest of the 2013/14 season. From the 2016/17 season he held the dual function of sports director and coach at EHC Winterthur until he was dismissed in December 2019. Since April 2020 he has been the coach of the Heilbronner Falken in the DEL2 of the 2nd division in Germany.
