history
The name of the place Mlode is derived from the Sorbian word mloze , which means young . The place was also known as Mloda and Mlodo .
The village belonged to the Calau Castle Chapel . This sold it to Otto von Zabeltitz in 1560 . The following owners included the von Schlieben and von Barnheim families. In 1693 Mlode was called a desert village. Since 1764 it has been inhabited again and in 1768 it comes to the County of Lynar where it remains in 1945. Administratively, the place belonged to the district of Calau . It was not until 1951 that the place was connected to the electrical power supply. With the construction of a sheepfold in Mlode, ten row houses and a block of flats were built.
On January 1, 1926, Mlode was incorporated into Seese . After Seese was devastated by the Seese-West opencast mine , it was incorporated into Bischdorf on January 1, 1969 with its remaining parts of the municipality of Mlode and Rochusthal. On June 1, 1987, Mlode was spun off from Bischdorf and became an independent municipality with the Rochusthal district. On October 26, 2003, Mlode was incorporated into Calau with Groß Mehßow , Kemmen , Bolschwitz , Saßleben and Werchow .
