history

Núñez was founded together with the neighboring Saavedra by Don Florencio Emeterio Núñez . The railway line was opened on April 27, 1873, after which the land was parceled out and built on. Since Don Núñez donated the land for the station, the station and the neighborhood were named after him.

Today the district is characterized by multi-storey buildings and commercial activities, especially along Avenida Cabildo and Avenida del Libertador . The residential streets with their villas, on the other hand, are quite pretty and a bit more exclusive, similar to the other northern districts. There are two squares: Plaza Balcarce and Plaza Félix Lima . You can also find sports clubs and recreational areas here.
