NGC 369 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 280 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1622 and IC 1623 .
The object was discovered on October 9, 1885 by the American astronomer Francis Preserved Leavenworth .
