NGC 345 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 238 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 342 , NGC 347 , NGC 349 , NGC 350 .
The object was discovered on September 27, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
