NGC 325 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 248 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter. Presumably it forms together with NGC 327 and NGC 329 an interacting galaxy trio.
In the same area of the sky there is still u. a. the galaxy NGC 321 .
The object was discovered on September 27, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
