NGC 327 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 247 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 329 it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy pair Holm 30 and together with NGC 325 presumably an interacting trio.

In the same area of the sky there is still u. a. the galaxy NGC 321 .

The object was discovered on September 27, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
